Clydesmill Power Station

Clydesmill Power Station had been de-commissioned for some years and was begining to suffer from vandalism when we were invited to demolish it in order to remove the risk to the surrounding community. Work was started in January 2002.

Once the asbestos insulation and the internal plant had been removed our Leibherr 962, with high reach attachment, was used to demolish the main building to ground level

The chimney was then collapsed using explosives to displace the support structure.




The full demolition was completeed within 3 months and the site left tidy and level.
